Tri-City LifeNet

We had a great turnout even though we were all up early for a presentation and tour of the new life flight helicopter based at the Kearney Airport. Now just a little over a year in service, the Tri-City LifeNet medical services provide a second full-time emergency air platform to Kearney and local communities in central Nebraska and north central Kansas. The new airbase will provide a quicker response time for emergency and trauma situations, as well as additional support to transport patients needing specialized care.  Read the full story at their website, https://airmethods.com.

Luke Ballmer [Tri-City LifeNet], our host, provided us with a great overview of the flight teams, service area, services provided, and how the addition of a second helocopter will greatly enhance medical response capabilities in Central/Western Nebraska and northern Kansas. The highlight of the visit was a close up look at the beautiful airship hangered at the Kearney Regional Airport.

On behalf of Kearney Dawn Rotary, we want to sincerely thank you for the informative presentation from Luke Ballmer. You and your other team serve the community in a life saving way and we couldn’t be more proud of the work you do!

Thanks again!

The day after our visit, I found this post on the Tri-City LifeNet Facebook page.  I think it says it all.

Oh Lord,

We call it a life flight because that is its purpose. Just as You have called us to save lives and tend to the sick, we acknowledge that we must act quick. We are fascinated by the promise this brings to those who call and need us most. We are humbled by the work we do, but sometimes it leaves us crumbled. For all who respond, not all make it home, and in their sorrow, some may not see tomorrow. We give our all to every patient. No matter their background or where they are found, we know Your work is profound. Be with us as we complete the mission for we know it is Your commission.

Amen
